I was going to use this one as a pattern for a new one but after I started cleaning it I think it will be fine. One more original piece to re-use.

Finally got these back. At first glance they look really good. The passenger side didn’t have the access hole made so I’m sending it back today. The hole allows you to inspect the rudder cable connections. 

More photos of the panel. I haven’t posted for a while but I’m still busy working on it. These photos show it after the white reflective paint was applied so the panel lights would reflect the light to the instruments. 

I wired it in this morning. It sounds noisy but that’s normal for an Edo Aire unit. You won’t hear it once the engine is started.

Cleaning up the wire runs. 

Re-routing some wires and beginning to comb the wires so they are straight. I think I will start checking the wires this Saturday for proper connections and routing. Should be able to apply power after that. 

Don’t look too closely at the routing and position of the wires. There’s still a lot of work to do.

No, not me, the Stinson. It turns 70 years old on April 11, 2017. Too bad it won’t be completed by then. Close maybe. Let’s shoot for completing it before it turns 71. 

Starting to come together. Using plastic ties until I’m all done then I will replace them all with wax cord like it was when it was built.
