You should use type B screws with tinnerman nuts, not type A.
These hold the bottom portion of the instrument panel to the frame.

You may have explained and I missed it, but why is all the wiring white? Wouldn’t it make it easier to use colored wire?

Not enough colors in the rainbow to meet requirements for different systems. So all are white with black lettering for identification.
