Top of the Port Wing

It took about an hour to lay down the tape and install all the screws and washers on the top of the wing.

Reinforcing tape, washer, and screw installation
2” tapes going on the top of the wing. The tapes go around the leading edge of the wing and continue onto the bottom of the wing. At this point they are taped so they won’t touch the floor.

Port side (formally Left) Wing Progress

Getting ready to install the wing tank and finish up the tapes and the inspection covers. No fabric goes over the wing tank, just around the edges.

Working on fuel tank strap placement.
Reinforcement and screws going on
Tapes going on. That short piece of curled up tape in the foreground is drywall tape. It is cheap and firm, yet bends. I use it as it’s 2″ wide which is perfect when marking the ribs for the finishing tapes.

Left aileron continued …

Last of the aileron cleanup.

Bearing before. It has the felt washer still attached.

First coat of primer out of three coats. Poly Fiber STC calls out the need for it.

Might have sprayed it a bit heavy on the first coat as I have some runs. Oh well.
