Close Tolerance Bolts

The Stinson uses close tolerance bolts in the control column. They don’t just pop right in.  The best way to get them to fit is to cold soak them. I used dry ice. Works wonders. Requires very little persuasion. 

Soundproofing and insulation

Getting this installed before I can cover the fuselage. It’s silver on the inside and white on the outside. It has a sticky back to attach to where it needs to stick. Fitting it before I do that. 

I’ve been working on it, just not posting photos all the time. 

Cowling inside 

June is going to be a busy month for work so I’ve got to get a lot done in the next few days. 

Removing paint from the inside of the cowl. It was coming off easily. 

Fitting a Cowling trim piece
