Doug stopped by today to look things over.

Here for the wedding and had some extra time to look at the Stinson.

Received my aileron crossover cable from Univair. They had to make it so it took a few weeks. I could make my own but why.
Our daughter is getting married this weekend so my attention has been elsewhere (and my checkbook). I will jump back into the project on Sunday.

Aligning the holes to insert the wing bolts is not easy. It’s a very tight fit and has to be perfectly aligned. Someone posted a solution on the Stinson owners webpage that I think works great.
I made one, installed it from the back which aligned the hole, allowing me to easily install the correct bolt easier.

During the rebuilding process I’ve noticed the manual is not always correct. There are several issues of improper hardware listed in the manual for the intended purpose. One example is the bolt holding the rear lift strut yoke to the front strut. It calls for an AN5-11A bolt, which should go in from the front to the rear. The -11A is too long for this purpose, but an AN5-7A will work. But even the -7A is too long to insert from the front as shown in the manual.

Nav lights and landing/taxi light switches are connected and working.
I had a few visitors to the hangar over the weekend

Stopped by the hangar over lunch and snapped this photo. Probably the shiniest it will ever be.

I’m a little backed up with work and home projects, but here are some recent Stinson photos and videos.
