Unusual Weather

Thanks to the unusual weather this weekend, reaching the 60’s yesterday and 55 today, we were able to go to the hangar. Some airport bums stopped by to look at the Stinson. One was Chris Stokes who is the one restoring the A-37 Dragonfly. Had a nice conversation with him about his project and he mentioned a Stinson owner at Millard Airport near Omaha. I’ll have to go over and check it out.

We replace three nut plates on the nose bowl today. They were too bad but out of an abundance of caution we replaced all three. We connected the carb heat cable. We started safetying things in the cabin, too. This is one of the last big things we need to do. However, rain and snow starts tomorrow so we will have to wait before we can head back out.

My helper was cold.
