I stuck my snake camera into the tank and it’s surprisingly clean inside. Still , I will wash it out.
I need to flatten the flange before installing the new gasket. Bill Carter has a nice mod for this, but it’s $300 a set. Neck and cap cleaned and zinc plated. New cap gasket and cap chain pin. Tank gasket on its way. For my records, the pin is an AN416-2. Tank gasket is RG-108. Fuel cap gasket is 108-1121112. I need to pop out the big dents yet. I have a kit, just need to use it.
Where in the world did all the dents come from, apparently a common problem since there is a kit to remove them. Would be interesting to see how that works!
