One step closer to covering. Cutting my fabric to size.
My co-pilot and helper in the background. Measuring and cutting for the left wing. Last minute things before covering. I need to apply E-420 primer to the exposed aluminum surfaces where the fabric will be glued to the wing. Fuel tank cavity. The support was lined with cork. I used the another method and applied the same felt they use in the PA-22.
About to get somewhat odorous soon huh? I’m assuming you’ll be applying dope/paint etc. in your garage since weather probably won’t allow painting outside, but, perhaps you can’t really do that anyway, even on a good day.

Not too smelly. It’s not like the old days of dope and fabric. Today’s fabric uses an adhesive that’s not too bad so I can do it in my garage.
