Removed the wingtip and cleaned out the bird nest. Removed some corrosion from the rib and applied some zinc primer.
I didn’t get a photo of the rusted PK screws holding on the wingtip. They were tough to remove. Wingtip Nest inside. Some corrosion present on the rib. Wingtip rib cleaned and chromated. The bend comes out when you install the tip.
Weird how a bird nest can appear way out at the wing tip, unless a position light was missing I guess. Any signs of mice activity involved? That could be nasty, hopefully the rest of the interior was okay as far as corrosion is concerned.
No mice. So far minimal surface corrosion on the a few bottom ribs where the P-K screws held on the fabric. So I will apply some corrosion resistant there before covering them back up.

So far I found 7 mud dauber nests and one clothes pin! No dead animals or their droppings.
