Going to try these to see if they fit.

These hold on the trim pieces. Guessing they used the same style in automobiles of the same period. Anyone know where I can find some replacements?

Working on cleaning up the wheel pants. They are well used with lots of dents and cracks. But with a little work I think they will be fine.

Using the paint shaker at work to mix it up. Expecting to go home early today as the temps will be 60+ this afternoon and apply the last coats to the bottom fabric.
Also, I ordered a gallon of Stinson Maroon ($265.00). They are very proud of their paint.

If you look too close you’ll see a small dent and scratch. It’s not much, but I didn’t take them out as to me it’s patina. Fritz or someone in the family probably put that in there way back in the ’60’s. Someone outside the family would probably remove them.

Baggage door before adding the locking mechanism

Polishing the door before temp installation. The fabric may not be as glossy as the aluminum door so you don’t want to over do it, otherwise it will stand out against the rest of the airplane.

Temporary installation for photos.
Painted five inspection hole covers. I managed to photograph the only one with my fingerprints everywhere. They are just surface prints, not in the paint.

Sanding tape edges that need it and some rough paint spots.
I still have another cross coat for the bottom side. Then it’s the Stinson Maroon coat.

Ran out of silver before I could spray the last coat on the bottom. So ordering another gallon. But the top and side are done. Now I can do some light sanding where needed.

Don’t look too close. You’ll start seeing my mistakes showing up.
