I purchased some aluminum for new panels today. Got lucky when one of our best sheet metal guys was in the same location as me. He offered to cut the new ones for me. He saved me a lot of time and frustration.
The top three photos are the existing panels. The remainder are the cutting and fitting of the panels. Ran out of time tonight. Will cut the window holes tomorrow.
Finished installing the floor. Primed the inside section of the rudder, vertical stab, and around the light. Temporarily mounted the horizontal stab and the elevators to make sure they fit correctly.
These little suckers are $27.50 a pair if you need to buy them. Good thing I didn’t need any. They keep the cables from rubbing on any metal. You can see the cables running through them in the last photo.
I found some original Stinson clamps for the heater hose. Yep, it doesn’t take much to excite me. They work in certain places on the Stinson. The last photo shows the more modern clamps as they work better on flat surfaces.
