The valve was locked up tight. I took it to work and soaked it all morning in an ultrasonic heat bath which loosened up all the old fuel. After this the valve came apart fine. Cleaned it up, polished the valve, and reassembled. 

Cleaning and replacing ‘O’ rings in the engine primer. 

A short wait for paint due to paint shop schedule. Stored in the garage for a week.
