The fuselage is back on the trailer and back to storage for a few weeks while I wait for the painter to get it in his schedule.  He said in about three weeks.  That gives me a few weeks to work on the things we pulled off this weekend.  It’s so much lighter, two people can pick it up and load it on the trailer.

I need to get the landing gear overhauled so I took the wheels off the landing gear this morning.  I will get the new tires and tubes installed at this time.    I also media blasted a couple spots to see how it would work and it seems to be fine.  I may do it to some other spots before I get it painted. See below.

Thanks to all of you who came up to help and to those who were there in spirit to get some work accomplished in the Stinson. We accomplished a lot. It is now ready for primer and paint. Once this is done the reassembly process can begin.

I picked these up at Oshkosh this week.  

$10,000.00 plus a measly $1,500.00 to replace the light case.  Pocket change, right?

Getting ready to replace the tires and tubes and get the wheels overhauled. It’s nice to work at a place that can do that for me.

The carb has the housing and air box attached. However, there’s an Airworthiness Directive out on the carb that has you change the throat box and this one doesn’t have it.
