With the intent of sandblasting the fuselage, Aaron and I went out to get started, but my sandblaster wasn’t working well. So we ended up taking apart the baggage compartment so I can replace the wood. We also removed the bottom of the instrument panel. In addition, we mounted the pilot side shroud to see how well it would fit after being off for 40+ years. We also mounted the bottom shroud to see if my doubler for the Venturi tube would work. All went well and despite the lack of sandblasting we accomplished a lot.

You’re doing a great job Jeff. What a great tribute to your talent and Grandpa Fritz it will be. Wish I had some skill to offer you in this major undertaking. Hope to see you soon in Iola.

Thanks Bill. Just knowing you are happy knowing it will fly again some day is enough. Will see you at the reunion.
