The only damage to the fuselage that I can find is a crease in one of the support tubes. It has not cracked through so it will be an easy fix.
I can use FAA AC43.13-1B to make a repair by using the welded patch repair process.

The cowling is in rough shape, too. One hinge point is broken but it’s riveted on so easy to repair. The hinge fasteners are rusty but should work fine once they are cleaned.

I’m guessing the engine hasn’t been turned over for quite some time and it’s last operation was in 1967 or so. The engine does turn over and I shot some video from inside a cylinder to see how the valves and piston looked. You can see it here Franklin Engine
